    1. Conceptually, I was onboard 100%. Grieving widower and his wife's twin brother, identical twin brother--wait for itere, you got it. There's an explanation there, but totally not weird at all, in fact it was so wild that I checked and sure as the world is filled with amazing things you can have identical twins of different genders from a single embryo transfer. Case study for interested partiesThis is so cool! My brain exploded a little bit. And frankly, it was the best part of the yaoi-style sto [...]

    2. Okay I officially am just not a fan of this author. Given her 3 chances and this one was justd. A man's wife dies and he takes in her twin gay brother to combat both their grief. But he treats the brother like his housewife-slave and even calls him a "woman" on any accounts! He seemed so sexist, wanting someone at home to cook and clean for him, what a lazy sexist pig! The gay brother is no better, he plays the typical housewife roll and is even alright with being slapped by the other man! He fo [...]

    3. I liked this short story. It's very short though. Only 90 pages long. It's about a cop who recently lost his wife ended up having to take in his wife's identical twin brother. The story is quite pleasant and the emotional building was fantastic. I just wish the love making in the end was a bit more detailed and could get an epilogue. I'm an epilogue gal and I always appreciate a peak in the future of MCs. Despite that, really a nice story.3.5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

    4. No. Just no.This reads like some rushed fan fic. The whole story is fairly preposterous but that wasn't what bothered me but rather the fact of barely on the page characters: Abel is a perfect 50's housewife and Heath is caveman a**hole who resorts to belittling name calling and violence when jealous, but of course it's all in the name of love. The deceased' twin brother and her grieving husband are in love and a couple and I don't think she's been gone even a year and to add insult to injury th [...]

    5. I will add a warning here - if you are triggered by domestic abuse or the use of slurs, then you'll probably want to give this a pass. But if that is not a problem for you, then definitely check this out.(view spoiler)[Tough cop Heath Prescott is pretty much lost after his wife Abbie dies, with her having been the love of his life, and the person who kept his domestic life completely in order. Abbie's twin brother, Abel, is lost, as well, with Abbie having been his only family, and finding himse [...]

    6. Dear Abel,Please leave Heath immediately, find a shelter, and seek some counseling. He's not good for you.Signed,A Pretty Entertained Reader

    7. Self centered GFY Heath treated chick-with-a-dick Abel horribly. Pacing was off - t00 slow and then rushed at the end.

    8. This book was awful. Truly awful, and I don't use those words lightly. Maybe the worst MM I've ever read. Heath is an unapologetic misogynist who only seems to miss his wife because she cooked and cleaned for him. Without her, he's unable to clean his shower, cook for himself, or pick up any garbage. The book progresses quickly and we meet Abbie's twin, Abel. He's described as weak and thin and looks just like his sister, hair and all. Hank eventually moves the abused Abel in with him and he's th [...]

    9. Bitter sweet taleThis is a yaoi story meaning male and male love. They are as good as conventional romances but only if you have an open mind.Heath has just lost his wife to cancer and he is a wreck. A policeman by day, his home reflected the mess he was in. His colleagues were worried but he only wanted to work.A call from a colleague confuses his world further when he is faced with a nearly identical image of his wife, who was her twin brother. Feeling too much pain he decides to leave his con [...]

    10. WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT??! I wasn't expecting a really good story here. It was 100% a thirst read, but yet, even with these low standards, I was still massively disappointed, and worse, offended. The way Heath reacts when Abel does something he is less than happy with was beyond inappropriate. He throws shit around, calls him a f@g, and even hits him. The power dynamics are so messed up. Without Heath, Abel is essentially homeless, and Heath likes it that way. I wish I scrub my brain so that I co [...]

    11. I love the emotions in this book. Really hit all the levels. I love that each of the books I've read so far are so different unless they are part of a series. Then they still have a different curve to them. Definitely try all of her work.

    12. I absolutely loved this story!!! When I read the last page, I wanted to cry "Nooooooooo." The end made me tearful was so beautiful

    13. Kindle Freebie Short Story. MM. Grief. 3 Star. Her Twin Brother was a quick yet developed short story, with emotions and heat. Even with so few pages, it still felt as if I'd read an entire story, and I applaud the author for this because I can't write a short to save my life. However, I had a few issues with the story that I'll briefly hit upon, only because it might insult members of the LGBTQ community unintentionally- I don't want them to read it and get angry without a warning. Health treat [...]

    14. I've read most, if not all, of the reviews and I agree with so many parts. I didn't like way the officer character acted, I damn sure didn't like him hitting Abel and I don't condone anyone staying with a partner who abuses them (one hit, one cheat's all the same and leads to more).I loved Abel. I would love someone like that and I don't mean it to sound sexist like some were saying. I think he just liked being a domestic homebody and the cleaning/cooking was what he enjoyed doing. I can dig tha [...]

    15. I don't rate books any more in genres I write because conflict of interest. But I still make a few notes of my thoughts from time to time for my own use. Basically this is a fast free read that includes a catalogue of books at the end with the stories behind the writing by a yaio writer with a very large catalogue indeed. Says the author:"Almost every story I write is a variation of beauty and the beast." So an interesting inside look.

    16. This story was a joy to read. It was heart-warming to read and the emotion was written out very well. Each character is depicted with their own strengths and weaknesses, which makes the emotion they experience that much more believable. I actually felt like I was experiencing the characters' emotions. Once again, Ms. Abraham has turned out a beautiful story. My only complaint is that it's too short!

    17. The writing on this book was fine; it is just the subject matter that threw me(the dead wife and the look-a-like twin brother). I don't think I would have been as bothered if the author did not mention how alike the twins were in appearance--it made me wonder if the MC was just accepting the brother because he looked so much like the dead wife. I did not dislike the book but neither did I like it enough to want to read it again.

    18. Interesting short story about a man who loses his wife and almost himself until he needs to step in to help his wife's twin brother. When they start living together, things shift a bit, but Heath can't get his head around being with a man. Abel is so very much like Abbie, but he's a guy so there's that. Confusion and missteps abound. The best lesson of this story is that labels are for canned goods, not for people.

    19. A light and fast read. I would have enjoyed it more if the main character, Heath, hadn't fallen in love with his late wife's twin brother, Abel, just because Abel looked, talked, cooked and cleaned just like his late wife Abbie. So he just fell in love with his wife all over again. It bothered me. I wanted Heath to embrace the maleness of Abel, not relive his life with Abbie.

    20. Literally one of the best books ive ever read. Top of the line GFY and totally amazing characters. I do wish there was a bit more graphic detail regarding the sex scenes but it still gets five stars!
